Effective Meeting Skills



A meeting is any time two or more people work together to give or gather information and/or take action. Meetings are expensive. They take valuable work time from the leader and members. The more ineffective they are, the more expensive they become.



Determine when a meeting is appropriate
List roles and responsibilities of meeting members.
Plan the meeting.
Practice decision making tools.
Discuss strategies for minimizing behaviors that can impede a

meeting's effectiveness.
