Introduction to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator

 

Description

Many people assume that all human beings are ruled by the same basic desires, motivations, or instincts.  That assumption leads to considerable misunderstandings between people.  In reality, there are both similarities and differences between people.  The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is an extremely useful and practical tool for achieving the understanding of those similarities and differences of others. 

 

Objectives

  Increase self-awareness and confirm self-perception
  Discover normal differences in people concerning:

   Energy source

   Information gathering

   Decision making

   Lifestyle
  Appreciate the gifts and strengths of yourself and others
  Learn how to capitalize on your strengths and the strengths of

   others

  Supplement and augment those areas that you may overlook or

   those areas that do not come easily to you

  Apply the knowledge about personality type
